If you have an android 2.2 version Dropad A8 in hand and it happens that you want to upgrade it to android 2.3, you might be interested in what is talking about here. Chances are that you may be bothered by the possibly complicated upgrading procedures. Well, things are not so different as what we expect if you finish reading this. Before any furtherance on the upgrading steps, hit the link here to download the upgrading firmware. Now here we go.
First of all, uncompress the the compressed folder that you have downloaded on your PC.
Then prepare a new micro SD card, and transfer all the files in that folder to the new card. ( note: copy all the files in the folder to the new card instead of transferring the folder directly to the card.)
After that, insert this micro SD card to the micro SD card slot on the right side of the tablet.
Last, press the menu button on the top and hold, and also press the power button at the same time. (Make sure here the general power switch is on).
The tablet will update the system on its own, you will see the screen shows it is updating by procedure. It takes about two minutes for the tablet to finish the upgrading, and the device would shut down automatically after all this. You can turn on the tablet to see check how things are changed.
(Note: this firmware is still in testing and may not stable enough. Be careful to upgrade your device if you are not so sure about. We are free of any responsibility for any unexpected or unknown problems that may rise.)
