According to the foreign media report, American mobile carrier Verizon wireless will issue its first 4G cell phone in the midyear of 2011, which is half-year earlier than the previous planned time.

Verizon 4G mobile phone will use LTE technology; Verizon Wireless CTO Anthony Melone expressed in the interview, the company will publish LTE service in some markets at the end of this year.

The release of 4G cellphone will be the key step that makes consumers enjoy LTE technology; furthermore, Verizon will also publish data cards suitable for notebook. It is need time to achieve LTE technology’s complete cover, therefore, the first LTE mobile phone will be able to use dual SIM cards, namely can use Verizon existing cellphone networking simultaneously. Melone expressed, the company may not issue single and integrated chip directly.

Beginning today, Verizon Wireless customers may sign up for a new Nationwide Unlimited Talk plan that allows customers to call anyone in the United States for $69.99 monthly access or a Nationwide Unlimited Talk & Text plan to call and send text, picture and video messages to anyone in the country for $89.99 monthly access.

Nationwide Family SharePlans will also have new unlimited options. Nationwide Unlimited Talk Family SharePlans will be $119.99 monthly access while the Nationwide Unlimited Talk & Text Family SharePlans will be $149.99 monthly access. All Family SharePlan pricing includes the first two lines of service. Standard text message rates will apply for customers on the Nationwide Unlimited Talk plans who do not sign up for a text messaging bundle.

The company also announced the expansion of the 25 megabyte for $9.99 per month data package requirement to include all Verizon Wireless 3G multimedia phones, which gives customers quick access to mobile e-mail, games and the Internet. Sprint and Verizon representatives have confirmed that both carriers will launch a revision of the forthcoming BlackBerry Tour which includes a Wi-Fi radio, making it a first for both CDMA carriers.

In related news Sprint has confirmed that every smart device manufacturer that wants to offer smart devices on the carrier must include a Wi-Fi radio in the device, a requirement that can be seen in the latest devices from HTC and Palm in the Pre and Snap, noting that the decision was made internally to require Wi-Fi in previous quarters.

The reasoning behind the inclusion for Wi-Fi was borne out of customer demand and a desire to reach parity with GSM carriers, since Wi-Fi radios are routinely included in GSM BlackBerry models.

Verizon, the nation’s largest wireless provider, today unveiled the HTC Ozone, a global Windows Mobile 6.1 smartphone that runs on both CDMA and GSM worldwide.

Manufactured by Taiwan-based HTC, the Ozone has a simplified “sliding panel” user interface, one-touch messaging key for quick connection to friends and family and an ergonomic keyboard for more comfortable typing.

Beyond texting, the handset runs Windows Mobile 6.1 and comes with integrated high-speed EV-DO Rev. A Internet, global GSM compatibility, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, a microSD expansion slot and a 2.0-megapixel camera.

The HTC Ozone will be available beginning June 29 for $50 after a $70 mail-in rebate with a new two-year contract.
